This award celebrates remarkable individuals who, through learning, have transformed their own lives and the lives of their families, friends, their communities, and the places they work. With specific focus on the health aspects of their learning journey.

English Language Learning

This award celebrates remarkable individuals who, through learning the English language, have transformed their own lives and the lives of their families, friends, their communities, and the places they work.

Return to Learning

This award celebrates those individuals that have returned to learning as an adult, and through this learning have transformed their own lives and the lives of their families.

Senior Adult Learner

This award recognises the achievements of outstanding older people who have, through learning, transformed their own lives and the lives of their families, friends, their communities, and the places they work.

Learning for Work Award

Sponsored by NOCN, this award celebrates the achievements of adults who have learnt through an apprenticeship or traineeship, secured employment or a promotion at work, embarked on a new career, or started their own business.

Outstanding Individual Learner Award

This award celebrates remarkable individuals who, through learning, have transformed their own lives and the lives of their families, friends, their communities, and the places they work.

Employer Award

Sponsored by NOCN, this award celebrates employers that have used learning to develop and utilise the skills of their workforce to improve productivity, raise morale, increase staff retention and enhance their business performance.

Project Award

This award recognises the innovative projects and provision that have supported adults to learn in a range of settings.

Social Impact Award

This award celebrates the achievements of learners or tutors who have inspired others around them to embrace learning opportunities and achieve their potential. The 2016 Social Impact Award was sponsored by WEA.

Young Adult Learner Award

This award recognises the achievements of outstanding young people (aged 18-25) who have, through learning, transformed their own lives and the lives of their families, friends, their communities, and the places they work.

Tutor Award

This award recognises inspirational tutors or trainers who have supported learners, in a range of contexts, to go on to lead successful and rewarding lives. The 2018 Tutor Award is sponsored by ETF.
